Jesper Thomsen from the Royal Danish Embassy in Tokyo shares his impressions and insights on life and work in Japan and compares this to the 6 countries he has been stationed in during his diplomatic career. Other topics he touches on are the March 11 earthquake of 2011, Denmark’s carbon free vision for the future, work life balance, Japan “surprises”, robotics cooperation between Denmark and Japan and tips for success in Japan and for Japanese people to succeed outside of their home country, what it means to be “global” and possible future scenarios for Japan’s maturing economy.
