Mr. Shuichiro Ueyama, currently a consultant who led the successful release of the Sony Walkman in the company's advertising division, expresses his views on what it takes to be a global leader during the recent waves of globalization.

When at Sony, he established himself in the U.K., acquiring business English, global business manners, and a wide network through a variety of experiences. Building on his experience at Sony, he remains at the forefront of global business as an international and independent management consultant.

Sir Richard Branson, who started a global company from scratch, understands the value of entertainment. Margaret Thatcher, the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom who revived the British Economy in the 1980s, has a view of history and a strong sense of ethics. Mr. Ueyama, who has a long history of friendship with both of them, will share episodes which convey their values and innovative spirit, that support their strong leadership.
