Managing Director, Morgan Stanley MUFG SecuritiesRobert Alan Feldman is a Managing Director, Morgan Stanley MUFG Securities. He joined the firm in February 1998 as the chief economist for Japan. In 2003, he also became Co -Director of Japan Research and currently is Head of Economic Research in Japan. He continues to focus on the outlook for the Japanese economy and on interest rate and exchange rate movements. He is a regular commentator on World Business Satellite, a daily business news program.
Co-Chairman Japan, The Boston Consulting GroupTakashi Mitachi is a Co-Chairman Japan of the Boston Consulting Group. He holds an MBA with high distinction (Baker Scholar) from Harvard Business School and a BA in American literature from the University of Kyoto. Before joining BCG, he worked for JAL for 14 years, including a position as Manager of Corporate Planning at the Tokyo head office. In 1993 he joined the Boston Consulting Group and currently is a Co-Chairman of the Japan office and a member of BCG's Worldwide Executive Committee. He has led projects for both Japanese and multinational clients in a wide range of industries. He has been a member of Japan General Agenda Council of World Economic Forum, a Chairman of Committee on Medical and Welfare Business of Keizai Doyuukai (Japan Association of Corporate Executives), a Chairman of Airport Restructuring Taskforce of Japan Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transportation and Tourism, a Board member to Japan Association of World Food Program and a regular commentator on World Business Satellite. He is an author of books such as "The BCG Way - The Art of Strategic Insight", available in Japanese and Korean and "Tsukau Chikara (being able to apply)", on leveraging knowledge and skills to achieve results.
Representative Director and Chief Operating Officer, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.Toshiyuki Shiga is the Representative Director, Chief Operating Officer of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., where he is responsible for External and Government Affairs, Intellectual Asset Management, Design, Corporate Governance and Global Internal Audit. Before assuming his current position in 2005, he acted as Senior Vice President in charge of the General Overseas Market Sales & Marketing division. Since joining Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. in April 1976, he has held a number of positions in Sales Operation in Asia and Corporate Planning. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics, OSAKA Prefecture University in March 1976.
Japan Strategist, CLSA Asia-Pacific MarketsNicholas Smith is Japan Strategist for top-ranked Asian research house CLSA Securities. He has been a resident of Japan for a quarter century. He spent the Nineties with Jardine Fleming Securities, where he was a topranked Oil & Chemical analyst and headed up their global team. He spent much of the Noughties in hedge funds, first at Penta Investments then setting up Falcon Pacific with former Penta colleagues.

He has been a member of the councils of Chatham House (1998‒2004), the Royal United Services Institute (2005‒present), and the Overseas Development Institute (2007-), the board of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (1996-2005), and the advisory council at Wilton Park (1998- ). He is a governor of the Ditchley Foundation. In 1994 he was a fellow at the Joan Shorenstein Barone Center in the J. F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
