"GLOBIS.JP" is an online business magazine which the GLOBIS Group, based in Tokyo, Japan, has been running to serve Japanese business leaders and entrepreneurs since August 2006. As a media unit of Japan’s leading business school, GLOBIS.JP provides a valuable resource helping “Japan, Inc.” or “Corporate Japan” to transform and improve business management and leadership.

Following the drastic changes taking place in Japan over the last few years, including the surge in the value of the yen and the saturation of the domestic market, many Japanese companies are being forced into a new phase of globalization. As a consequence, the Japanese way of corporate management and strategy are being modified to such an extent that Japan can be thought of as undergoing a new renaissance.

Japanese businesses are also moving to think, act and cooperate globally to a much greater extent than ever before in order to overcome the effects of the triple disaster (earthquake, tsunami and nuclear accident) that devastated Japan on March 11, 2011.

Japan is focusing on attracting inward investment and aims to work closely with talented and visionary people from around the world to forge a new future. We are committed to bringing about substantial change to create a New Japan and in so doing, contribute to world peace and prosperity.

GLOBIS.JP aims to be a worldwide platform serving to connect like-minded stake holders from around the world to realize this aim. As a first step, we have started this beta-site and will carry reports every 2-3 days on G1 Global conference held on November 3, 2011 at GLOBIS University in Tokyo, Japan. Also, we are now preparing various articles and columns for the full-renewal that is planned in March, 2012.
